Albur, Bohol – Crowned Miss Belgium, Flor Angeline Pua, spends quality time with children at the Holy Trinity Orphanage in Albur, Bohol last Monday, May 20th.
BE Grand Resort is committed in giving back to the community and uphold its social responsibility. For this month, BE Grand Resort has invited the Filipina beauty queen to be a part of their outreach. Spearheaded by Resort Manager, Pearl Lorraine Yang, it was a morning well-spent in getting to know the children at Holy Trinity Orphanage with feast and games for the kids and Angeline sharing her inspirational story as a role model and the steps she has been making to reach her goal in becoming a commercial pilot.
“I hope I did inspire them. That has always been my mission and I love being with kids. [They’re] Very young and smart children! One of the kids was especially sweet. He did not believe it [being able to pilot a plane] until I showed him a video of me flying!” – Angeline
A long way from home but right at her roots, Angeline holds the title of Miss Belgium 2018 but not without criticism. The Filipina beauty faced racial abuse for not being ‘Belgian’ enough to represent Belgium. Despite the backlash, Angeline transforms the publicity as an instrument to battle racism and online bullying.
