MALACAÑAN — President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Tuesday, January 15, received the credentials of Ambassadors-designate of the Czech Republic and Commonwealth of Australia to the Philippines.
First to submit her credentials to the President was Czech Ambassador Jana Šedivá
She extended to President Duterte the warmest regards of Czech President Miloš Zeman.
Accompanying the Ambassador were Ms. Jana Peterková, Deputy Head of Mission and Second Secretary, Mr. Benjamin Žiga, First Secretary and Head of Economic and Trade Relations, Ms. Veronika Hirzel, Head of Consular Affairs, Visa Section, and Second Secretary, Jan Vičeck, Head of Finance and Administration and Attaché, and Martina Matuliková, Consular Attaché.
Meanwhile, from the Commonwealth of Australia, Ambassador Steven James Robinson also presented his credential to President Duterte.
Ambassador Robinson also extended to President Duterte the best wishes of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Governor- General of the Commonwealth of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove.
The envoy said that the relationship between Australia and the Philippines is “broad and deep.”
Ambassador Robinson also looks forward to strengthening the two countries relationship during his tenure.
Accompanying the Ambassador were his wife Rhonda, Mr. Mathieson Kimberley, Chargé d’affaires; Captain Ian Goold, CSC – Defense Attaché, and Ms. Clare Duffield, Counsellor for Political and Public Affairs.
The President met with each ambassador for a tête-à-tête after submitting their respective credentials.
