A Mindanaoan’s travel haven

As Mindanao’s economy continues to grow, so does the mobility and travel activity among its communities as well as the influx of foreign visitors with varied agendas in the region. One factor considered to have prompted this boost was the newly launched flights between the city and key destinations in East Asia. With this, Davao City Tourism Operations Office Head Generose Tecson has declared that the city is targeting to reel in 2,640,000 tourists for this year, from last year’s tourist count of 2,376,000.

With these conditions set in motion, the role of TLEX Davao has only grown more apparent. Now on its third year, the highly-anticipated travel show is expected to fortify and empower the region’s fast-growing tourism and hospitality industry. Intent on letting everyone “Experience the Escape” from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this year’s TLEX Davao boasts of over 90 booths and over 40 exhibitors as it maximizes a total of 1,500sqm of exhibition space.

Gathering only the most reliable and trusted hotels, travel agencies, airlines, couriers, cruise lines, resorts, shipping companies, and recreational destinations, TLEX Davao 2019 aims to make travelling and tourism pursuits more accessible for the people of Mindanao. In the process, TLEX Davao also seeks to foster limitless B2B opportunities for industry players in the field.
