PH Consulate General in HK Extends Services to Filipino Cruise Ship Staff

HONG KONG 16 October 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong conducted a consular outreach mission on board the Genting cruise ship Star Pisces on 07 September 2018—the first-ever outreach mission of the Consulate General in the last three years.

The Consulate General team, composed of the overseas voting registration, legal, Social Security System, Pag-IBIG Fund and Department of Social Welfare and Development units, provided more than 180 services during the consular outreach mission. Star Pisces Captain Henrik Ortenblad welcomed the Consulate General team. It is part of Star Cruises, one of the three distinct cruise brands of Genting Cruise Lines docked at the Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Currently, Star Pisces has around 300 Filipino officials, personnel and crew in its employ.
