DTI Bohol brings the first OTOP Hub in Visayas to Life. The OTOP Philippine Hub Can be found in Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The best of the regions quality products such as souvenir items, wearables, home furnishings, fashion accessories, processed food, gifts and decors, and health and wellness goods from all over the region can be seen at the Hub. The OTOP Philippines Hub or OTOP.PH is a retail store and marketplace where products from One Town One Product (OTOP) offerings can be found. Catering to the general mainstream market of both local buyers and tourists, it offers a general outlet for quality and standards-compliant OTOP products.
The launch was attended by Hon. John Geesnell L. Yap II, Ms. Asteria C. Caberte Regional Director of DTI-VII, Hon. Edgardo M. Chatto, Engr. Albert M. Uy , Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga and other government officials and MSME guests.
“Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have a very important role in developing the Philippine economy. Otop Philippine Hub will become an avenue for the MSME’s to earn,” said DTI Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga, program-in-charge.
OTOP Philippines is a priority stimulus program for Micro and Small and Medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) as government’s customized intervention to drive inclusive local economic growth. The program enables localities and communities to develop, support, and promote culturally-rooted products or services where they can be the best at or best renowned for. DTI and other government agencies to transform the products and make them market-ready.
