Philippine Embassy in Athens meets with Filipino Community Leaders

Athens, Greece — The Philippine Embassy in Athens conducted its first meeting of the year with the leaders of the Filipino community on 25 January 2020 in Athens, Greece.

The meeting was held at the Philippine Embassy’s chancery and was attended by 45 leaders and representative of various Filipino community organizations.

Philippine Embassy in Athens Chargé d’Affaires Rosario P. Lemque briefed the Filipino community leaders on the Overseas Voting (OV) registration, the Taal Volcano explosion, and the importance of having an updated list of FilCom members in case there are calamities and emergency situations.

The officers of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Pag-IBIG fund, also discussed the services their respective agencies provide and their work-programs for the year 2020.
